Frequently Asked Questions About Our Vehicle Hire

A: Autolyne will allow anyone with a valid UK licence with less than 6 points rent from us, if you have more than 6 points this is not a definite 'No' but we would need to get this checked out on a case by case basis.

A: Yes as long as you have held the licence for more than 2 years we can offer our Vehicle Rental Bristol service.

A: A 59-minute grace period is provided to all returned vehicles unless specified, after this period the below charges will be applied, if you are going to be late please advise us as soon as it is possible and safe to do so.

1 hour – 2 hours = £20.00

2 hours – 3 hours = £30.00

3 Hours + = extra days standard hire charge

Please ask staff for further information on these charges.

A: Whilst we appreciate that some clients will wish to take pets in the vehicles we hire out we would respectfully request that due care is taken and the vehicle is returned in a reasonable state of cleanliness. If the condition is deemed unreasonable upon return a valeting charge may apply. (Charges are on an hourly basis cost of £420 per hour).

A: Autolyne encourages all clients to thoroughly inspect vehicles on collection. Any fresh damage not recorded upon vehicle handover is the responsibility of hirer and will be subject to the appropriate repair costs charged by our trusted repairers. (Please see our damage price list)

A: When hiring a vehicle with us we will arrange a time slot for both the collection and return. If you are late for your collection please note that this will not automatically change your return time. Your return time will remain the same as per your original booking. You may also be required to take a seat in our waiting area for a short period of time if your arrival coincides with another clients booked appointment. If you are experiencing a delay in arriving for a collection or return please call the office and advise us of this.

A: All our hired vehicles go out with a full tank of fuel. We therefore insist that they come back with a full tank of fuel. Where this does not happen you will be charged pump price plus an Admin fee of £25.00.

A: Included in your rental is 100 miles per day, additional mileage is fine but is subject to a charge of 15p per additional mile. To ensure accuracy a photo of the odometer is taken on check-out and check-in.

A: You must provide a total of 2 proofs of address from the following:

  • Electricity (bill/statement)
  • Water (bill/statement)
  • Gas (bill/statement)
  • Broadband/Landline
  • Council Tax
  • TV licence
  • Bank Statement
  • Credit Card (bill/statement)
  • Mortgage statement
  • Polling card
